Speical Update for Thanksgiving Weekend, 2002!
Here are two very special events that are happening this weekend, one now that has gone national and a local event:

1. When Danny was 9 and his sister Betsy 6, they had a dream to get every family in need a turkey for Thanksgiving in the Greater Boston area. Their parents told them that with a focused mind and will, they could do anything. They started with this dream in 1996, and have been guests on NBC's TODAY Show every Thanksgiving since 1999. In 2001, their father passed this plane and that inspired them to go to greater heights by getting other kids involved in other parts of the USA. Today, they announced that they raised over 6,000 turkeys for Boston and will feed 60,000 people there in addition to other areas like Chicago and California. This is a story you just have to see. We hear so much about children killing children, etc., now here is a story of children helping other children and all of their neighbors in need. Danny & Betsy have set up their own non-profit corporation in a true Spirit of Thanksgiving Day story: Click Here .

2. Women in Harmony Presents:
A Salute to Christmas and Handel's Messiah at the Yelm High School Theater Saturday Nov. 30th at 8 pm and Sunday Dec. 1st at 3pm
Directed by Claudia Simpson-Jones. Featured soloists are Bob Corl, Mayra Pena, John Morgan, Dalene Haifley, Cynthia Mahorko, Jason Knapp and Steven Borsuk.
Tickets available at: Mr. Dougs, Gordon's Patio Shop or at the door. Adults $10,
.

Can Christmas be far behind? Have a Happy Holiday Weekend.
Update for Week of November 27th, 2002
For those of you new to this Update, welcome! This evolved after 9/11 when so many sent me requests for an opinion. Rather than answer my view, I sent links to sites that provide ideas and knowledge with which the reader could contemplate and form their own conclusions. This continues to this day. NEVER take my word for anything here. Use you own mind to discern what you will from these links. I provide information on scientific & research, geopolitical, and economic issues. As always, a link is provided and is active at the time of each Update, although may not be at a later time. If you have any comment, you can write to me at: srklein@ywave.com

1. The Homeland Security Bill was signed into law on November 25th, 2002 by President Bush. Part of the Bill is the electronic tracking of every move of every citizen via the Department of Defense (DOD). Have you ever read George Orwell's "1984"? If not, the time is now: Click HereAnd Click Here.

2. Computers of the future could be controlled by eye movement rather than with a mouse: Click Here.

3. In an effort to determine once and for all that a UFO craft crashed at a site in Roswell, New Mexico (you have got to be kidding, right? like, is there any doubt?) over 50 years ago, the cable SCI-FI channel is sending archaeologists to comb the site looking for evidence. Why do that when there are enough factual books and eye witness reports in your local library. Or, just take a trip to the Air Force's Wright-Patterson AFB outside Dayton, Ohio and visit their library under the Freedom of Information Act: Click HereThe premier on this documentary aired Friday, 11/22: Click Here.

4. Doctors speaking at the annual meeting of the American Heart Assn. in Chicago have shown that they have used bone marrow stem cells to repair heart tissue with encouraging results: Click Here.

5. In a follow-up to articles previously written about hydrogen powered fuel-celled vehicles, Toyota has announced it is the 1st automaker to win US government approval and will start leasing cars in California in December: Click Here.

6. Continuing in the follow-up department, here is a story out this week in mainstream news sources on "mirror-matter": Click Here.

8. Reported this week is that 2 Black Holes are on a collision course with each other Click Here.

9. Here are some very interesting sites with more information on Torsion Fileds & ZPE: Click HereAnd Click HereAnd Click HereAnd Click Here.

10. A Silicon Valley, California startup claims to have unlocked a key to "junk DNA's" hidden language: Click Here.

In this week of Thanksgiving here in the USA, we have alot to pause and give thanks for. In doing so, we reflect and talk about the injustice being done on the world stage. What about the injustice we have done in our own individual lives? So often we are looking at the view outside of us, rather than realizing that all of that is just a reflection of what is inside of us. May this holiday allow us to pause and refocus our attention inward on how we can recognize these truths and be better people, for ourselves and all of the world. Happy Thanksgiving!

8. Further to last week's crop circle information, here is a site that bills itself as the world's premier crop circle site: Click Here.

9. A story this week in The Washington Post mentions that Argentina has now defaulted on debt payments to the World Bank. This is very a very serious situation and one that should not be overlooked with so many other stories taking front page headlines. This could set the stage for other Latin American countries to turn against the Fund and its U. S. government overseers, and eventually the U. S. taxpayer. Yikes: Click Here.

10. From The National Geographic Magazine website comes this sobering article about the ugly legacy of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and their threat. And, very timely with this week's news from Osama and company: Click Here.

12. A study released in The New England Journal of Medicine this week says that measuring a protein in the blood may be better than cholesterol measurements in predicting heart disease risk. That's not news here. Dr. Cranton has been doing that for years. Next thing you know, they will recommend measuring homocystine levels for an even more accurate heart disease measurement, which we have heard about from Dr. Todd for years. Update for week of November 13th, 2002
The Crop Circle Movie Documentary mentioned last week, opened to a packed and very interested house, here in Yelm. The film's director had a question & answer session that highlighted truth with these "signs". I asked the director if he had sent his movie to Mel Gibson and company, from their movie "Signs". He chuckled at that movie's gross negligence to the topic. If you are unable to view the documentary in your area, you can order the DVD and/or VHS from the website at: http://www.cropcirclesthemovie.com/cc_buy_01.html

1. There just is no hiding the fact anymore that much of this Iraq war buildup is for oil. MSNBC has done an extensive piece this week on this, very appropriately titled, "OIL, The Other Iraq War": Click Here.

2. Are you familiar with President Bush's "No Child Will Be Left Behind Act" education law passed earlier this year? No, you say! Look again. In the provisions of this law is a requirement that public secondary schools will provide contact information of every student to military recruiters or face cut-off of federal aid: Click HereAdditionally, the Washington Assessment of Student Learning (WASL) now has its 2002 released items on its website: Click Here.

3. And to follow on to the aforementioned story, here is an article in The New York Times that the Pentagon plans a computer system that would peek at the personal data of all Americans. Isn't that being done already? Maybe it's just coming out into the open: Click Here.

4. Enough of the games of the government/corporate "officials". In the news from science this week comes a story from NASA that scientists for the first time have seen energy being extracted from a black hole: Click Here.

5. Now here is a company that has a different vision of waste and discarded materials through its Plasma Converter technology: Click Here.

Update for Week of October 30th, 2002 Part II
There is so much happening that I am doing an additonal Update this week.

1. We did it again! After breaking the record cold levels for any October on Wednesday morning 10/30 with 18 degrees F. (-8 C.), the Olympia, Wash. area recorded another record cold morning on Thursday, October 31st, 2002 with 14 degrees F. (-10 C.). The previous record low for that date was 23 degrees F. (-4 C.). A huge, high pressure dome is over the state and that coupled with the extremely dry October (some Western Washington sites recording their driest or 2nd driest October ever) allows the heat to escape into the high atmosphere in the evenings: Click Here and Click Here. Also, this cold, dry weather is a threat to the state's apple and wheat crops: Click Here.

2. Have you seen the Tilley Electric Vehicle? Here is an update from their site, which I mentioned here earlier this year: Click Here.

3. All of the focus in the crash of American 587 in Fall, 2001 outside JFK Airport in NYC was questioning the composite materials in the Airbus's tail section. Now, that has been definitely ruled out as a factor in this investigation. HUM!: Click Here.

4. I mentioned here last week the story of the Ossuary of James, the brother of Jesus that was found recently. Here is a site that should put to rest any question about Jesus having siblings: Click Here.

5. Advanced Digital Communications, a Canadian Company mapping the ocean floor under contract with the Castro government around Cuba, has reportedly found stones and other forms that look like fragments of a city: Click Here.

6. Save Our Wild Forests is a site dedicated to the awareness and preservation of our state's forests and preserves: Click Here.

7. I mentioned last week cars being unveiled that run on hydrogen with zero emissions. Now, in a story from Europe, General Motors has unveiled their hydrogen car. This article shows the great disparity between the US desire for fossil fuels and the EU's drive for hydrogen based autos: Click HereFurther, how the Bush Administration is fighting the electric car concept. These are oil men (Bush, Cheney, et al.), remember!: Click Here.

8. The following site shows the scientific visualization of how a tornado interacts with the Earth's surface in fascinating detail: Click Here.

9. The revolutionary LED (light emitting diode) light is making very fast inroads into the incandescent light bulb market, saving fossil fuels and huge expenses. Now, this new way of lighting is making its way into developing countries replacing kerosene lanterns. Here is a site dedicated to this progress: Click HereHere are two companies at the forefront of this technology: Click HereAnd Click Here.

Have a grand November!
